The Roadmap and Asking Directions
Today, I relearned something very important. Road maps are great but asking for directions is an essential part of taking the journey of a daily "thriving" life. I know, it's a woman thing, but it's one we all need to try from time to time. When people you know "read you" and ask, "Is something wrong?" As someone did to me today, you have a choice. Should you act strong and pulled together, brush it off and say everything is fine. Or should you take the sounding board offered, and get someone else's take on how you should orient yourself. I did the latter with terrific results today, and I am very glad I did. I feel even more blessed that I have surrounded myself with great people, and that I continue to use my Internal and External Resources in order to be 'Firing on All Cylinders" as one of Jim's expression goes. One that I liked so much it became a major part of the final chapter of From Survival to Thrival. Don't forget that to ask for help has No Shame, No Blame. Happy jouneys!
